Credit & Portfolio Manager
We’re looking for a visionary Credit & Portfolio Strategy Leader to architect and scale the credit risk infrastructure for our Digital Bank. This role is ideal for a data-driven strategist who thrives in ambiguity, builds from zero, and is passionate about shaping the future of consumer and SME lending.
As a key member of our leadership team, you’ll define and execute the credit and portfolio management strategy across Consumer, Merchant, and SME lending products. You’ll partner cross-functionally to establish risk appetite, build robust monitoring systems, and drive portfolio optimization through data and experimentation. You’ll also lead real-time industry research and policy development to ensure our credit practices are resilient, compliant, and future-ready.
What You Will Do:
- Work with internal partners to develop a robust portfolio management framework and a comprehensive credit & fraud risk management infrastructure for the Digital Bank.
- Define the credit & portfolio management strategy, focusing primarily on Consumer products, Merchant lending, and SME lending portfolios.
- Establish credit risk appetite and thresholds for the product portfolios.
- Develop a comprehensive process and build credit portfolio monitoring and control systems to assess, identify, and reduce credit risk while optimizing portfolio returns.
- Conduct real-time industry research with team reports to identify and analyze emerging trends. Review and approve relevant policies related to various regulations and emerging trends.
What You Need to Succeed:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Statistics/Data Science or related programs; MBA or Post graduate in a similar field is a plus
- At least 8+ years experience in credit, exposure to merchant lending is a plus
- Excellent quantitative skills with background in credit scoring, credit strategy and overall credit cycle
- Strong background in Credit Loss Forecasting
- Conversant with scoring & impairment forecasting models.
- Proficient in using statistical programming languages such as SQL and Python
- Experience in using traditional and alternate data to drive credit strategies
