Senior Business Deposits Lead

Overview:

As a Business Deposits Lead, you will leverage your analytical and project management skills to address complex business challenges in the deposits area. Your role will involve executing strategic initiatives aimed at driving sustainable growth and achieving business targets.

What you will do:

• Support the Head of Liabilities/Deposit to drive execution of business deposits strategies to deliver sustainable growth in revenue, balance and core banking customers working across Maya and Partner ecosystems
• Work closely with enterprise, partnership and trade relationship managers and marketing teams to achieve business goals
• Help optimize P&L outcomes to ensure the bank’s aspirations inclusive of revenue, profitability & strength of balance sheet are met
• Work with Product, Tech, Risk, Compliance to design products to drive best in class customer experience with strong controls embedded
• Execute on business partnerships to provide optimal customer experience and maximize sales opportunities
• Identify opportunities and prepare business cases along with other business units and support teams
• Oversee business deposit governance activities which include compliance, audit, fraud, risk management, etc.
• Ensure relevant and effective control measures are in place at all times to minimize the risk exposure of the Bank while meeting all the internal standard, compliance, policies & regulation
• Take the lead in drafting and updating of policies and procedures where necessary
• Stay up to date on industry trends, competitive landscape, and regulations
• Facilitate the build and testing of operational processes, systems and reporting capabilities
• Work cross functionally across Marketing, Data Science, Liability Analytics, Finance and Commercial & Partnerships to drive growth, expansion of use cases and optimize the composition of the Deposits book

What we are looking for:

• Graduate of Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance or related discipline
• 6-8 years of business, product marketing, or strategy experience within the banking or financial industry 
• Experience identifying business needs and leading strategic plans driven by qualitative/quantitative analysis and market insights 
• Able to closely collaborate closely with other business teams
• Strong analytical skills with experience using hypotheses-driven problem solving 
• Experience working with leadership teams to identify key opportunities to develop and enhance business strategy using quantitative and qualitative analytics
• Shows drive and initiative to achieve business goals in a timely manner and identify potential issues / roadblocks
• Strong presentation and communication skills with the ability to confidently deliver presentations to senior management and clients
• Significant experience in managing programs and products within the financial industry
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, especially PowerPoint
• Ability to use databricks for data extraction and dashboard building is a plus
