Description:
As a Data Scientist, you will be crucial to our organization's data-driven decision-making processes. You will be responsible for leveraging your extensive data science expertise to provide valuable insights, develop advanced analytical models, and guide data-driven strategies. You will be responsible for leading and executing data science projects that directly impact on our financial services operations.
NATURE OF WORK
- Closely collaborate with business stakeholders including portfolio management, risk management, product development, tech and finance to understand their data needs and provide data solutions and help identify opportunities for improvement to help achieve business objectives.
- Collaborate with other Data Scientists and MLOps Engineers to implement solutions, identify areas for improvement, and achieve maturity in our internal processes.
- Address complex business challenges by developing advanced machine learning models and other data solutions to enhance risk assessment, and other key areas of our lending business.
- Stay updated with the latest data science advancements and apply them to improve our analytics capabilities.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Preferably with a bachelor's degree (Masters or PhD is a plus) in a quantitative field such as data science, statistics, computer science, or a related discipline.
- Some experience on causal inferencing, reinforcement learning and explainable AI
- Proven experience (3+ years) in data science and analytics, preferably with a focus on financial services or a related industry.
- Strong technical skills in data analysis, modeling, and programming, with proficiency in Python, R, or equivalent.
- Preferably with an understanding of financial services operations, regulations, and industry-specific challenges.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders effectively.
