Description: 

As Lead for Deposits, you demonstrate strong domain expertise in product management and financial services, owning the product vision and strategy for deposit products across the Maya ecosystem. Success in this role is measured through adoption and product‑market fit, revenue and balance growth, recurring and habitual usage, and increased ecosystem product availment. You ensure the customer perspective is a primary driver of product decisions, balancing customer value with business viability, operational capabilities, and regulatory requirements.

 

You apply strategic influence, entrepreneurial savvy, and creativity to shape direction, challenge existing norms, and align stakeholders around shared customer and business outcomes. As a people leader, you coach and develop others through clear feedback, guidance, and context, building product capability while fostering accountability, ownership, and sustained performance.

 

NATURE OF WORK

  • Own the product vision, strategy, and outcomes for deposit products serving both consumers and businesses, with success measured through adoption, engagement, and use across the Maya ecosystem.
  • Serve as the subject matter expert for deposit products, translating customer feedback, business and regulatory requirements as well as market trends into clear product direction and priorities.
  • Lead the full product lifecycle from concept to scale, working closely with business, treasury, operations, and finance teams to deliver products that meet customer needs, are viable for the business, can be supported by operations, and comply with regulations.
  • Use customer, usage, and financial data to assess product performance, define success metrics, and support prioritization decisions.
  • Analyze the end‑to‑end deposits customer journey vis-à-vis overall Maya experience to identify gaps and improvement opportunities that build long‑term customer value.
  • Set clear product priorities aligned with business objectives and long‑term platform and capability plans.
  • Coach and guide junior product managers through clear direction, feedback, and accountability, building strong ownership and consistent performance.

 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • 6+ years of experience in product management within digital banking, financial services, fintech, or a related technology‑driven industry, with ownership of complex products at scale.
  • Proven people leadership experience, including coaching, developing, and performance‑managing product managers while building strong ownership and accountability.
  • Demonstrated experience leading products from initial launch through scale, with success measured by customer adoption, long‑term value, and business performance.
  • Strong ability to use customer funnel data, usage insights, and financial metrics to make informed decisions, adjust strategy, and clearly explain trade‑offs to senior leaders.
  • Proven success leading cross‑functional teams as a peer, aligning stakeholders around shared goals and driving consistent execution and operational excellence.
  • Ability to define and communicate a clear product vision and roadmap that aligns and motivates a small team while supporting Maya’s broader ecosystem objectives.
