Senior Product Specialist
As the Product Manager for Marketplace, you will play a crucial role in developing and executing the product strategy and roadmap to deliver a trusted, seamless, and scalable marketplace experience for consumers and partners across our ecosystem. This role demands a product leader who blends strategic thinking, strong execution, business acumen, and effective partner engagement to drive sustainable growth and profitability. You will be comfortable operating in a multi-stakeholder environment—aligning Product, Engineering, Design, Commercial, Marketing, Operations, Risk/Compliance and external partners toward clear outcomes and timelines.
You must possess deep experience in understanding, sizing, and translating consumer and partner needs into data-powered value propositions that improve the marketplace flywheel (supply, demand, conversion, fulfillment, and repeat usage).
You will collaborate with both internal and external stakeholders to drive value for consumers and business partners—coordinating priorities, communicating decisions, and managing expectations across functions. You will help scale marketplace use cases and improve unit economics through strong stakeholder alignment and disciplined execution.
NATURE OF WORK
In this role, you will primarily set and own the vision, execution and management of Marketplace Products:
Product Strategy and Management
- Formulate, garner support for, and implement a comprehensive vision and strategy for Marketplace products that align with overall business objectives and the broader consumer product vision and overall ecosystem value proposition to other segments.
- Identify and prioritize opportunities to maximize customer acquisition, engagement, retention, and monetization lifecycle and establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and track progress against targets.
- Partner closely with Commercial teams to define marketplace growth levers (e.g., assortment, pricing, promos/incentives, and partner funding), and translate them into prioritized product initiatives with measurable ROI.
- Collaborate with engineering, design, commercial, marketing and operations teams to develop and implement Marketplace product features and initiatives that improve discovery, trust & safety, conversion, fulfillment, and repeat usage—while driving commercial outcomes.
- Conduct A/B testing and other experiments to optimize marketplace performance across the funnel (e.g., traffic to listing views, add-to-cart, checkout, payment success, cancellations/returns) and improve overall unit economics.
- Define, document and secure concurrence to product requirements, user stories, and product prioritization.
- Establish stakeholder governance (e.g., cadence, decision forums, RACIs) to align priorities across Product, Engineering, Commercial, Operations, Risk/Compliance and external partners; proactively surface risks, dependencies, and trade-offs.
Product data analysis and insighting
- Analyze consumer behavior, transaction data, market insights, and other relevant metrics to identify trends and patterns; develop and maintain models to predict and influence marketplace performance (e.g., conversion, repeat purchase, supply health, cancellations/returns, and fulfillment reliability).
- Utilize data visualization tools to communicate insights and recommendations to stakeholders.
- Develop and implement product strategies based on product analytics and user insights to drive organic customer acquisition, usage, retention, referral and revenue
- Drive funnel analysis of Marketplace products to ensure continuous improvement of the value proposition and end-to-end experience.
Discovery, Segmentation, and Personalization
- Leverage data and AI to develop and implement segmentation strategies that tailor marketplace discovery, recommendations, merchandising, and communications to specific customer cohorts.
- Leverage data and AI to launch personalization capabilities (e.g., ranking, recommendations, search relevance, and targeted offers) that improve conversion and repeat usage.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 6+ years of experience in product management, preferably with a focus on consumer marketplace products (e.g., e-commerce, on-demand, fintech ecosystems) and commercialization.
- Experience in consumer marketplace or platform products (e.g., e-commerce, on-demand, fintech ecosystems) with demonstrated commercial outcomes (growth, monetization, margin improvement).
- Proven track record of successfully launching and iterating marketplace or platform features that drive measurable outcomes
- Strong understanding of customer behavior, data analysis, and market research methodologies.
- Proven ability to lead through influence and coordinate multiple stakeholders—aligning priorities, resolving conflicts, and driving delivery across cross-functional teams and external partners.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, work independently, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
