Senior Product Specialist
As a Senior Specialist for Lending, you are a senior individual contributor responsible for owning lending products and capabilities that drive meaningful customer and business outcomes. Success in this role is defined by your ability to deliver customer adoption, sustainable growth, portfolio value, and contribution to Maya's broader ecosystem through sound product strategy, disciplined execution, and continuous optimization.
You are accountable for understanding customer needs, identifying opportunities, and translating insights into products and experiences that create value for customers while balancing commercial objectives, risk considerations, operational feasibility, and regulatory requirements. You leverage data, experimentation, and cross-functional collaboration to improve lending outcomes across the customer lifecycle and continuously evolve products based on changing customer behavior and business needs.
You are expected to demonstrate strong product judgment, operate effectively in ambiguous environments, and lead through influence by aligning stakeholders around customer-centric and commercially sound decisions.
NATURE OF WORK
- Own the strategy, roadmap, and performance of consumer lending products, with accountability for customer adoption, portfolio value, sustainable growth, and contribution to Maya's broader ecosystem.
- Lead the discovery, validation, and development of new lending propositions and capabilities, leveraging customer insights, research, experimentation, and data to identify opportunities and translate them into scalable product solutions.
- Drive the end-to-end product lifecycle, from problem discovery and prioritization through launch, optimization, and scaling, partnering closely with Business, Credit Portfolio, Operations, Finance, Compliance, Design, Data, and Technology teams.
- Apply customer, product, portfolio, and financial insights to make product decisions, balancing customer value, growth, profitability, portfolio performance, risk management, operational feasibility, and regulatory requirements.
- Continuously improve the end-to-end lending journey, identifying and addressing friction across acquisition, onboarding, underwriting, servicing, collections, repeat borrowing, and retention to compound customer and business outcomes.
- Leverage AI-enabled tools and workflows to accelerate discovery, analysis, experimentation, documentation, and execution while maintaining accountability for product outcomes and decision quality.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 5+ years of product management experience, with demonstrated ownership of digital products, capabilities, or customer experiences that delivered measurable customer and business outcomes.
- Proven ability to identify, validate, launch, and scale new products or capabilities, using customer insights, experimentation, and data-driven decision-making to create measurable impact.
- Strong commercial, analytical, and product judgment, with the ability to evaluate trade-offs, leverage customer and business data, and make sound decisions across growth, profitability, risk, operational feasibility, and customer value.
- Experience operating in complex or regulated environments, with the ability to balance customer needs, business objectives, operational constraints, and compliance requirements in product development and execution.
- Demonstrated ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders and leverage AI-enabled ways of working, driving outcomes through collaboration while using modern tools to accelerate product discovery, analysis, experimentation, and execution.
