Role Overview: 

As a Business Analyst, you will use your analytical and statistical skills in managing data and solving complex business problems of Maya Bank. You will help the business to leverage data to drive recommendations and solutions in achieving business targets.

 

What you will do: 

  • Oversee efforts to identify key business assumptions and hypotheses around line of business. Continuously refine hypotheses and identify business questions to explore further. 
  • Develop the analytical framework and blueprint to answer business questions identified in the business portfolio or product.
  • Use appropriate data analytics techniques to address identified business problems and evaluate portfolio performance
  • Apply expert analytical rigor to define outcome measures, improve ability to evaluate progress towards business outcomes
  • Use quantitative and qualitative analysis to provide evolving industry trends, market developments, strategic direction, regulatory environment and macroeconomic trends for the business 
  • Provide valuable insights and information-based context for key stakeholders in the business unit to effectively manage, influence and impact line of business strategy
  • Use the integrated 360 customer views to drive-data driven business decisions from acquisition, engagement to retention. 
  • Engage in the end-to-end lifecycle of data analytics from problem identification, technical design, implementation of requirements, data gathering, analysis, data visualization and story telling 
  • Deliver management reports and analytics on a periodically, as well as, ad hoc reporting and ensure high quality and accuracy of results
  • Lead and collaborate with different support teams from data analytics, data science and products for any test and learn reports and other dashboard requirements 

 

What we are looking for:

  • Must be a graduate of Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science or related discipline
  • At least 3-5 years of data & analytics or strategy experience within the banking or financial industry 
  • Experience identifying business needs and leading strategic plans driven by qualitative/quantitative analysis and market insights 
  • Strong analytical skills with experience using hypotheses-driven problem solving 
  • Experience working with leadership teams to identify key opportunities to develop and enhance business strategy using quantitative and qualitative analytics
  • Significant experience analyzing bank data, prospect databases and transactional insights
  • Demonstrated experience conducting performance analyses with deposit or payment products 
  • Extensive experience leading and performing complex data analysis using various data analytics tools (i.e. Microsoft Excel, Tableau, R, Python, NumPy, MatLab and database querying language such as SQL)
