The Compliance Testing Manager oversees the development, execution, and enhancement of compliance testing programs to ensure Maya Bank's adherence to regulatory requirements, internal policies, and industry standards. This role requires strong leadership, analytical, and communication skills to evaluate compliance risks effectively, identify control gaps, and provide actionable recommendations.
Responsibilities:
- Compliance Testing Strategy: • Develop and implement a comprehensive compliance testing strategy to assess the organization’s compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies. • Design and update test plans based on risk assessments and regulatory changes.
- Testing & Monitoring: • Lead the execution of compliance testing procedures across various functions specific to the Bank • Identify control weaknesses, non-compliance, or areas for improvement in business processes and make recommendations for remediation.
- Reporting & Documentation: • Prepare detailed compliance testing reports, documenting findings, assessments, and suggested corrective actions. • Present findings to senior management, compliance officers, and relevant stakeholders.
- Team Management: • Lead and mentor a team of compliance testers, ensuring they are well-trained and equipped to perform their duties. • Assign and prioritize testing activities, manage performance, and ensure timely completion of tasks. • Monitor and/or manage performance based on agreed service level agreements and the related outsourced compliance testing activities.
- Risk & Regulatory Awareness: • Stay updated on relevant regulatory changes and ensure the testing program is aligned with current regulatory requirements. • Assess risks and trends in the business environment and adjust testing priorities accordingly
- Continuous Improvement: • Collaborate with other departments to enhance the organization’s overall compliance framework and testing processes. • Implement lessons learned and best practices from past compliance reviews to improve future testing.
- Stakeholder Engagement: • Liaise with internal and external auditors, regulatory bodies, and other stakeholders to ensure testing activities meet industry standards. • Closely coordinate with Maya Philippines Compliance Testing Team for One Maya Compliance Testing activities.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, Business, Law, or related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Certification in Audit, Compliance, or Risk Management (e.g., CPA, CIA, CAMS) is an advantage
- Minimum of 5–7 years of experience in compliance, audit, or risk management roles.
- Experience in a managerial or leadership position within a compliance function.
