CORE PROFILE
As a People Partner focused on regulatory and employee relations, you are responsible for interpreting and applying employment laws, regulations, and best practices within the Maya group. This role involves providing consultative services to resolve potential concerns while maintaining a positive work environment. You must be knowledgeable about Philippines labor laws and regulations governed by Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) relevant to the fintech sector. Your duties include conducting thorough intakes with partners empathetically, identifying implicated policies, engaging appropriate partners, gathering necessary information, and ensuring timely resolutions. Additionally, this role involves improving processes and tools to enhance the experience for employees, leaders, and stakeholders. The ideal candidate should be tech-savvy, adaptable, and skilled at using digital tools to streamline HR processes and improve employee experiences.
NATURE OF WORK
Acts as a strategic partner in delivering the following:
- Interpret and apply employment laws, regulations, and best practices within the Maya group.
- Provide one on one and group meetings with internal partners to manage employee relations issues, conduct investigations with partner stakeholders concerning potential cases.
- Provide guidance on policies and processes to ensure compliance with regulations and consistent application of practices and leverage metrics to identify employee relation trends and diagnose organizational effectiveness.
- Apply expertise on regulations, employee relations and labor laws to identify issues, trends, gaps, and challenges, execute solution-focused strategies and processes to mitigate risks.
- Work with partners within People Group, legal and other teams to ensure positive and effective employee experience.
- Take charge in improving processes and tools to enhance the experience for employees, leaders, and stakeholders in relation to employee relations and regulatory matters.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- A minimum of five years of experience in employee relations, HR governance and regulations, or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of labor laws, employment regulations, BSP HR compliance, and HR best practices.
- Operates with a high degree of work ethics and integrity.
- Ability to work well in a team and collaborate effectively.
- Adaptable and comfortable in a fast-paced, tech organization.
- Proficient in digital tools and data-driven decision making.
- Experience in program management, and process and tool improvement related to employee relations and regulatory matters.
