Senior Software Engineer
CORE PROFILE
The Senior Full-Stack Software Engineer designs, builds, and maintains software systems across both backend and frontend layers, while actively establishing quality engineering practices for the team. This position requires deep flexibility across the entire technical stack, delivering features while embedding quality practices at every stage of software development.
This role operates within a collaborative "team of teams" framework. The engineer must coordinate technical dependencies, API contracts, integration patterns, testing requirements with adjacent product, platform, and infrastructure teams. Success requires an active understanding of the product and business objectives, translating requirements into reliable, secure, and performant code.
NATURE OF WORK
The work centers on technical ownership of the application’s core logic, data flow, integration patterns, and end-to-end testing and security architecture through agile, cross-functional execution.
Core Objectives
- Cross-Stack Delivery: Build, optimize, and maintain features across backend services, database layers, and client-side interfaces.
- Dual Engineering Focus: Serve as both a software developer and a quality engineer, ensuring high-quality feature code and comprehensive test automation.
- Inter-Team Coordination: Collaborate across engineering squads to define system integration contracts and unblock technical dependencies.
- Business & Product Alignment: Evaluate technical implementations against product goals, performance standards, and security requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Full-Stack Development: Write clean, secure code across backend APIs (APIs, services and integrations) and frontend user interfaces (web and mobile)
- Quality & Test Automation: Design, build integration, and unit test suites directly into CI/CD pipelines.
- Data & Integration Management: Model database schemas, optimize query performance, and implement secure integration patterns and strategies.
- Operational Agility: Transition dynamically between building new feature sets, optimizing databases, and debugging complex integration issues.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience: Minimum 5+ years of professional software engineering experience spanning both frontend and backend architectures.
- End to End Software Engineering: Demonstrated experience working across the entire software delivery lifecycle – from software development, software quality, infrastructure, deployment, maintenance and operations.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical hands-on industry experience.
Technical Skills & Tools
- Backend Ecosystem: Java/Spring Boot, Node/Express JS
- Frontend Ecosystem: Web Frameworks (e.g., React), Mobile (Android/iOS) Cross Platform (Flutter)
- Databases & Caching: RDMS (e.g., Postgres) and NoSQL Databases (e.g., MongoDB)
- Test Automation & Quality: Unit / Developer testing (e.g., Junit, Jest, Mocha) and API testing (Postman, JMeter).
- DevOps, Security & CI/CD: Docker, Terraform, Gitlab, Snyk, Sonar, AWS Infrastructure and Services,
- Observability & Triage: Dynatrace, Splunk
Behavioral Competencies
- Technical Adaptability: Easily shifts across different programming languages, codebases, and testing frameworks as priorities dictate.
- Collaborative Syncing: Communicates technical constraints and architectures clearly to both engineering and product stakeholders across teams.
- Systems and Quality Thinking: Analyzes how code changes impact downstream integrations, performance metrics, and automated test coverage
