Overview:
The Business Continuity Management (BCM) Specialist is responsible in ensuring overall oversight of the BCM programs of the Company, in compliance with the requirements of BSP Circular No. 951 and globally accepted best practices in BCM such as ISO 22301.
What you will do:
- Oversees the BCM implementation of the Company in alignment with BSP CN 951 and ISO 22301
- Develops framework, policies, and standards on BCM
- Ensures efficient and effective implementation of the BCM framework
- Conducts annual BCM gap analysis to identify non-compliance and improvements, and monitor closure of identified gaps
- Implements the PDCA cycle of the BCM framework (i.e., planning, implementing, checking and continual improvement)
- Participates in the implementation of the three (3) BCM pillars (i.e., Business Continuity, Emergency Response, and Crisis Management) across the organization
- Develops and facilitates BCM trainings and workshops for the overall BCM awareness and education across the Company
- Develops crisis management playbook for different crisis scenarios
- Performs different simulation and testing on call tree
- Conducts annual BCM exercise, reviews and monitors submission of required BCM documentations from various business units (e.g., Critical Process Categorization, Business Impact Analysis, Business Continuity Plan or BCP)
- Conducts regular BCP testing and ensures timely updating of BCP documents
- Assists in the secretariat function of the BCM Team in the Business Continuity Management Committee (BCMC)
- Updates the BCM framework and Emergency Response Manual, as needed
- Coordinates with Tech Group in matters related to disaster recovery and review of critical systems
- Coordinates with Facilities Team and Building Admin in the proper implementation of emergency response activities and DOLE OSH requirements
- Participates in the Occupations Safety and Health (OSH) Committee
- Establishes and maintains BCM budget (e.g., purchase of emergency response kit and other BCM engagements)
- Assists the Emergency Response Group (ERG) during actual emergencies
- Assists the BCM Staff in managing and overseeing the BCM SPOCS activities
- Acts as subject matter expert (SME) in all BCM related activities
What we are looking for:
- At least 5 years of working experience in Business Continuity Management and Disaster Recovery preferably in a digital bank or financial institution
- Strong knowledge and understanding of financial institution’s processes, systems, and regulatory environment
- Able to implement the right framework in alignment with BSP’s regulations and best practices on BCM
